Overview
What will you do:
Performs advanced technical activities including preparation of sterile products, narcotic control, outpatient pharmacy operations, unit based drug modules (Pyxis/Diebold) inventory management or drug order receiving and inventory management. Performs two or more of the following functions. Works with dangerous substances and or highly technical equipment. Must recognize and avoid conditions that place patient safety at risk.
What will you need:
High school diploma or GED
Completion of at least one course of algebra (or high math equivalent) and one course of chemistry or biology
Minimum two years as pharmacy technician
Pharmacy Technician Certification or 6 years pharmacy tech experience
Registration with the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy
