Overview
Job Summary:
The Patient Financial Services Epic Clarity Reporter provides extensive reporting and process support for Patient Accounting in addition to planning and executing special projects that enable Patient Financial Services management to stay focused on their primary objectives. The Clarity Report Writer will create design specifications for new reports and identify and validate the appropriate technological solutions for various reporting needs. The Report Writer will create new reports, using third party report writing tools to display Clarity data. The Report Writer will have an ongoing responsibility of modifying existing reports, as necessary. A successful Support Analyst will create accurate reporting, solve problems, and introduce automation opportunities with exemplary customer service and communication skills.
Essential Functions:
Create and distribute reports as assigned. Design and implement reporting and automation solutions using Epic Clarity and Hyperspace Reporting Workbench, SQL, Excel, Power BI, Access, Business Objects (STAR/Harmony (and other legacy systems), OnPoint, Monarch, and other tools.
Provide analysis and trending of Patient Financial Services metrics to diagnose problems or identify opportunities for improvement.
Develop, maintain, and document PowerBI visuals to create opportunities for automation.
Maintain inventory of production reports including detailed instructions.
Assist with reporting and analysis for internal and external audits.
Assist in completing other duties as assigned.
Cross train on other related systems that interface with Patient Accounting and Patient Access.
Assist with the support of facilities in partnership with the Atrium Health Hospital Business Office.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
Five (5) years financial experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
