Position Highlights:

Candidate Requirements/Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree and successful completion of a Medical Technologist program
  • Five years' clinical lab experience
  • Or two years' clinical lab experience with Medical Lab Tech (MLT) certification
• Medical Technologist (MT) ASCP certification
• Previous experience as Medical Technologist preferred
• Effectively communicate with professional staff when discussing procedures.

• Blood Bank, Specialist Technologist, Winston-Salem, NC
• Bone Marrow Lab, Winston-Salem, NC
• Chemistry, non-registered, Winston-Salem, NC
• Hematology, Winston-Salem, NC
• HPMC Laboratory, Evenings, High Point, NC
• Lexington Medical Center Laboratory, Lexington, NC
• Wilkes Medical Center Laboratory, Evenings, North Wilkesboro, NC

The Medical Technologist job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• Perform and provide accurate laboratory test results on human patients. 
• Prepare and issue blood components for patient transfusions. 
• Assist in the collection and transport of patient samples from the clinics to laboratory sections. 
• Requisition and maintain inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment as needed for laboratory operations. 
• Supervise, train, and review the work of students and lower level technicians.  Engage in clinical laboratory work. 
• Operate complex specialized laboratory instruments; instruct other personnel in the use and operation of these instruments.
