Job Summary

Coordinates and performs the preparation, data entry, verification and editing of data. Interacts with other departments to resolve problems and maintain efficient data and information flow. Resolves problems and inconsistencies with data, performs limited data analysis and prepares and generates various reports.

Essential Functions

  • Checks, verifies and edits data to ensure compatibility with data entry system and procedural requirements.
  • Interacts with department representatives to resolve routine data problems.
  • Works with department representatives as necessary to facilitate and expedite the efficient flow of documentation.
  • Inputs and retrieves information.
  • Creates and maintains specified data files and logs as required.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to perform manipulative skills such as writing, typing and data entry. Must have use of both hands, be able to see clearly, read and understand communications. Must be able to speak and be understood by others in order to communicate effectively. Works primarily in an office setting.

Education, Experience and Certifications

High School Diploma or GED required. Research experience preferred. Data collection, medical terminology and computer skills preferred.
