Position Highlights: 

Status: Full-Time

Shift: Nights 7p-7a

Schedule: 3-12 hour shifts with every 3rd weekend rotation

This job qualifies for a $15,000 sign-on bonus, provided the candidate meets the eligibility requirements!

Where You’ll Work: Brenner Children's Hospital - Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist - Winston-Salem

Atrium Health Levine Children's Brenner Children's Hospital is the pediatric hospital within Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Brenner is staffed by over 150 full-time pediatric faculty with members representing over 30 pediatric subspecialties. In addition, Brenner Children's is staffed by physicians representing all pediatric surgical specialties.

What You'll Need:

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing required. 
  • One year of RN experience; pediatric nursing preferred.
  • Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire for Adult Critical Care, Adult ED
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 1 year of hire for Network ED, Peds ED, PICU and NICU, and other areas per unit guidelines

 

What You’ll Do:

As a Registered Nurse, you will be the key architect of tailored care plans for patients ages newborn to 12 years old. Your expertise in anatomy, education, and psycho-social aspects ensures top-notch care while prioritizing safety, education, and rest. We're united by the Family Centered Care Program's vision, making your role truly impactful in healthcare.  Your job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  1. Provide patient-centered care, utilizing the nursing process to address physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and environmental needs, while adhering to WFBMC policies.
  2. Maintain a safe and healing environment, respecting patient privacy and demonstrating professional conduct.
  3. Harness technology and equipment for enhanced patient and staff safety.
  4. Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and throughout the care continuum.
  5. Engage in professional practice, participating in shared governance, adhering to care standards, and promoting clinical excellence.
  6. Competently perform and manage point-of-care testing, complying with regulations.
  7. Act as a patient advocate in all care settings, including the community.
  8. Coordinate the delivery of patient care services efficiently, identifying clinical priorities to improve outcomes.
  9. Embrace a professional practice model through shared governance, fostering a healthy work environment, and taking responsibility for personal professional growth.
