- Shift Schedule: Full time (3-12 hour shifts per week) Nights, Weekends, Holidays

Job Summary: Provides patient-centered nursing care, following the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Assumes a leadership role by guiding fellow team members and collaborating with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver age-specific and developmentally tailored care in line with nursing standards.
What You’ll Need:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required
- CNOR preferred
- Minimum of one year Operating Room experience or participation in a post-graduate program required.
- Refresher course required for nurses who have not worked in an Operating Room for five years or more.
What You’ll Do:
Job requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Utilizes the nursing process to deliver patient and family-centered care, addressing diverse physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs. This encompasses assessment, nursing diagnosis development, outcome identification, intervention planning, care coordination, health education, promotion, and goal evaluation, all in alignment with WFBH policies.
- Establishes and maintains a secure, therapeutic, and nurturing environment, safeguarding patient privacy while exhibiting responsive, respectful, accepting, and professional conduct. Champions the adoption and advocacy of technology and equipment to enhance patient and staff safety.
- Demonstrates effective communication skills to facilitate information exchange throughout the care continuum, functioning as a valuable member of the healthcare team.
- Exhibits adeptness in professional practice by actively engaging in a professional practice model. This includes involvement in shared governance, adherence to care standards, contribution to peer review processes, fostering leadership and clinical excellence through professional development, effective teamwork, autonomous practice, and accountability for actions and critical thinking.
- Acts as an unwavering patient advocate across all care settings, including the broader community.
- Efficiently coordinates the delivery of patient care services by applying care management principles. Identifies clinical priorities and initiates actions to improve patient outcomes.
- Demonstrates proficiency in functioning within a professional practice model through active participation in shared governance, promoting a healthy work environment, and taking personal responsibility for professional growth.
