Position Highlights: 

  • Shift Schedule: Full-Time Day Shift, Primarily Monday-Friday, 8a-5p plus some Saturday coverage, 8a-12p as needed
  • Location: Orthopedic Clinic in Advance, NC

What You’ll Need:

  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology Program
  • Registered & Certified with the ARRT or Registry Eligible & Certified within 1 year of hire
  • Valid BLS Certification
  • Able to communicate professionally, both written and orally, with physicians, nurses, and other professionals
  • Effective time management & clinical skills to successfully prioritize patient needs and maintain daily schedule, while keeping up with frequent workload changes and competing demands

Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Upholds hospital standards, fostering cooperation through effective communication, teamwork, and compliance with policies; Collaborates with colleagues to effectively achieve work goals.
  • Actively seeks education to contribute to service quality; Remain informed of current procedures, policies, regulations, equipment, and systems; complete annual and point-of-care testing and competencies as required.
  • Performs or assists with procedures and scans, while adhering to radiation regulations and following safety guidelines.
  • Ensures the readiness of equipment and supplies in case an emergency arises, responds appropriately to potential crises.
  • Ensures precise patient records through correct data entry, analyzation, and image archival, while maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Provides instruction, education, and consultation to healthcare personnel and patients, promoting improved patient care quality and outcomes; Delivers age and developmentally appropriate care & education in accordance to patient care guidelines.
  • Provides emergency coverage as needed, outside of normal working hours as necessary. 

This role involves maintaining a clean work area but carries inherent risks, including exposure to infections, bloodborne diseases, hazardous substances, and radiation. It also entails handling emergency situations, working irregular hours, and being available for short-notice absentee replacement.
