Overview

Advanced Practice Provider
Behavioral Health Charlotte – Medical 

Experienced full time advanced practice provider (APP) specialized in family medicine to provide quality medical services to the patients in the Charlotte and surrounding community. This position is occupied by family nurse practitioners (FNP) and/or physician assistants (PA) who are specifically trained and proficient in the provision of medical services under the direct supervision of family medicine physicians working for the Atrium Health Service Line. The provider in this position will perform history and physical examinations and medical management of adult and child/adolescent patients throughout the lifespan. The APP is responsible for completing medical histories/physicals and evaluating, stabilizing, and treating patients with acute and chronic medical conditions. 

Position Description:

  • ED/Inpatient 
  • 7on/7off, 1880 hrs annually
  • Weekends, Holidays Required. No call. 
  • Teaching opportunities with residents and/or APP Fellows
  • Eligible for excess shift pay, PTO and Performance Incentive Bonuses
  • Eligible for $2500/40hrs of CME

 

Position Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program. Current license to practice as a NP or PA in North Carolina. Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license required. BLS for healthcare provider from AHA required. 
  • Nurse practitioners are required to have a master’s degree or doctorate in nursing practice. Certification as a Family NP from a nationally recognized certifying body required. 
  • Physician Assistants with certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred. 
  • +1 years of experience preferred 
  • Demonstrates appropriate critical thinking and interpersonal skills. 
  • NC/SC Licensure
