Overview
The Team/Shift Lead coordinates MLTs and MTs in a wide range of duties that includes producing timely lab results, performing and documenting quality control, proper utilization of supplies, and assuring compliance with state, OSHA, FMC and other agency guidelines. This individual delegates testing to Medical Laboratory Technicians, assures competency of all testing personnel, accepts responsibility for accuracy of results, and reviews test results. The Team/Shift Lead performs the duties of a technologist as needed.
The qualified candidate will possess the following:
A. Education
1. Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field from an accredited institute
B. Experience
1. Minimum of five years of experience as a registered Medical Technologist
C. Licensure/Certification
1. Registered Medical Technologist, ASCP or equivalent
