Overview
This position is Sign-on Bonus eligible.
The Radiologic Technologist performs mammographic/radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. This individual conducts general radiographic, fluoroscopic, and portable procedures as assigned. The Radiologic Technologist performs procedures that will require independent judgment--with ingenuity and initiative--to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiographic diagnosis. He/she assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. The Radiologic Technologist provides appropriate age-specific patient care to the following patient populations: infant, child, adolescent, adult, geriatric.
Qualifications:
A. Education
1. Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
2. Meets the requirements for registry by ARRT
3. Meets the requirements of the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA)
4. Obtains at least 12 hours of continuing education per ARRT
B. Experience
1. One year or more as a staff technologist preferred
2. One year of experience in mammography preferred
C. Licensure/Certification
1. Current ARRT registry
2. Train and obtain mammography certification within 1 year of employment
3. Complete Commercial Driver's License training and obtain a CDL within 1 year of employment
