Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital Division of Neonatology is seeking a new faculty member to join the Division as the Medical Director of the Levine Children’s Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The Neonatology faculty currently provide complex care at five regional sites. This position is based at the 85-bed level IV intensive care unit at Levine Children’s Hospital with over 1000 admissions yearly, including regional referrals and a high-volume inborn delivery service. This is a unique collaborative, clinical leadership opportunity to promote the mission and vision of the organization.
The Division has active programs focused on simulation, interdisciplinary safety culture work, advanced therapies including ECMO and Aquadex, point of care ultrasound, clinical applications of informatics and analytics, quality improvement, palliative care/ethics, a fetal health consultation service, clinical research, telemedicine and comprehensive follow-up of NICU graduates.

As a learning health system, we support the Levine Children’s Hospital Pediatric residency program, a Physician’s Assistant Neonatology Residency and medical students from Wake Forest University Medical School. Faculty academic appointments are through the Wake Forest School of Medicine. Wake Forest School of Medicine has partnered with Atrium Health to build a regional campus in Charlotte with the emphasis to bring Health, Hope, and Healing-For ALL.
