Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital Division of Neonatology is seeking a new faculty member to join the Division as the Medical Director of the Levine Children’s Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The Neonatology faculty currently provide complex care at five regional sites. This position is based at the 85-bed level IV intensive care unit at Levine Children’s Hospital with over 1000 admissions yearly, including regional referrals and a high-volume inborn delivery service. This is a unique collaborative, clinical leadership opportunity to promote the mission and vision of the organization.

The Division has active programs focused on simulation, interdisciplinary safety culture work, advanced therapies including ECMO and Aquadex, point of care ultrasound, clinical applications of informatics and analytics, quality improvement, palliative care/ethics, a fetal health consultation service, clinical research, telemedicine and comprehensive follow-up of NICU graduates. 

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Ideal candidates have had leadership experience and expertise in advancing quality and safety in a high reliability organization. 
• Expert clinician with no less than 5 or more years of experience.
• Positive history in leadership and mentorship roles.
• Board Certification in Neonatology.
• Experience with intubation, umbilical line placements, thoracostomy tube placement, ECMO. Point of Care ultrasound optimal but not required.
