Atrium Health Levine Children’s Cleveland is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Hospital Medicine physician to join their team of physicians in Shelby, NC. This is a fabulous opportunity to join our dynamic team and work at the regions premier children’s hospital. This position is well suited for a pediatrician with a desire to attend deliveries, provide newborn stabilization and well-baby care.  This site is close to the North Carolina mountains and offers wonderful work-life balance with its shift scheduling. 

Position details:

• Schedule of shifts are taken 24-72 hours at a time, with 7 x 24 hour shifts out of every 4 weeks equating to full time.
• This role is primarily a newborn delivery service with general inpatient pediatric coverage.  Delivery attendance and stabilization followed by caring for infants in the well baby nursery and level II/III Special Care Nursery. 
• In addition, caring for general inpatient pediatric patients in an observation and inpatient status on the same physical unit.
• This will be an inpatient role, with an average of 5 admissions/shift with ADC 10-15.
• Joining a team of 5 physicians.
• Near-by Atrium Health supported condo available to Providers if their primary residence is more than 30 minutes away.
• Telemedicine privileges available.

Qualification requirements: 

• BC/BE in General Pediatrics required, Pediatric Hospital Medicine preferred.
• Experience with UVC placement, LPs for procedures, NRP and PALS certification
• Experience in inpatient pediatric medicine is preferred, open to new graduates.
