Atrium Health’s Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute – Union, part of Atrium Health, is currently seeking a Non-Invasive Adult Cardiologist to join their established practice in Monroe and Matthews, NC and provide quality care to the patients we serve in the respective communities.

Practice Highlights: 

• The practice has 3 General Cardiologists, who are busy with direct patient care and non-invasive, advanced imaging
• Additionally, the practice features a growing presence of advanced care through electrophysiology outreach and procedures, as well as heart failure and vascular services. Interventional cardiology services are provided 4 days/week.
• Inpatient cardiovascular care is supported by a dedicated APP M-F 
• Call is currently Q5 with intended shifts to a Regional Call model with decreased frequency in the next 1-2 years. 
• Outpatient services are provided at the main Union Campus, located in Monroe, NC and Union West, a new 40-bed hospital and Medical Office complex that opened in 2021 in the very fast-growing suburban market of Matthews/Waxhaw/Indian Trail. 

About the practice:

• The SHVI Union campus is a 182-bed facility located in Union County, NC – Southeast of Charlotte with easy access to Uptown Charlotte, shopping, restaurants, and other activities, as well as several other growing suburban and urban areas to live.
• There are currently 3 non-invasive physicians and 3 APPs at the Union location (1 inpatient, 2 outpatient) Atrium Health Union West is an APP-led inpatient service; physician support is provided via the ambulatory office which also offers echo, stress and vascular imaging services. 

Qualified candidates should be: 

• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease
• Skilled in echocardiography, transesophageal echo, and nuclear stress test imaging
• Interested in coronary CTA and/or cardiac MRI
• Eager to work in a growing, high-volume practice
• Interested in both outpatient and inpatient work (12-20 patients per day on Union inpatient service)
