Experienced Hem/Onc APP LCI Cabarrus

Position Details:

• Outpatient only
• Survivorship, acute and routine visits, toxicity visits, and occasional infusion coverage
• Clinic is open Monday – Friday; Schedule consists of 3 days/10-hour shift
• 10 Physicians, 5 APPs
• Avg patient load 8-10/day

This APP functions primarily in the outpatient setting caring for a mix of solid tumor oncology as well as hematology patients and demonstrates appropriate critical thinking and interpersonal skills when working in a fast paced, high acuity work environment. Qualified candidates will be able to perform thorough history and physical assessment, communicate effectively, formulate care plans for management of cancer- and treatment-related side effects, and document in a timely manner. Current credentialing to write/sign chemotherapy orders and/or perform bone marrow biopsies is a plus.

Ideal Candidate:

• At least 1 year of experience in hematology/oncology working as an APP
• Effective communication (written and verbal)
• Willingness to collaborate closely with clinical team
• Current on best practice and standards of care
• Displays self-initiative to learn
