Registered Nurse | Centralized Telemetry | Nights

The Telemetry Nurse is responsible for the daily operations and oversight of the Centralized Telemetry unit, including leadership of the monitor technicians within Centralized Telemetry.  The Telemetry RN is responsible for shift assignments, performance of random rhythm reviews; review of telemetry documentation, and provides assistance to Monitor Technicians (MT) as needed.  The Telemetry Nurse will serve as a resource to the MT’s, Clinical Nurses and other members of the health care team as appropriate. The Telemetry nurse will help to assure that unit nurses providing care for monitored patients are aware of rhythm changes and associated clinical implications.  The Telemetry Nurse will facilitate removal of telemetry monitoring from patients who do not meet criteria for monitoring in order to assure available resources for all patients.   The Telemetry Nurse will assist with evaluations by providing feedback for all MT’s and will participate in annual competency reviews to validate technical skills and ability to recognize rhythms and take appropriate action.  The Telemetry Nurse will work collaboratively with unit based nurses, C3’s, Directors, House supervisors, and physicians to maintain standards for professional and safe care for remotely monitored telemetry patients. 

What you will need:  

• Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia. 
• Associates degree in Nursing required.  Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred 
• Three (3) to five (5) years of direct patient care or centralized telemetry experience in a similar size, similar scope unit preferred.  
• ACLS required within first year.
