Overview
POSITION SUMMARY:
Supervises and performs those duties directly involved with Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) with a variety of technical procedures. Supervises technologists and other ancillary personnel assigned to MRI. Must possess strong initiative, independent judgement skills, and the ability to supervise others. Provides appropriate age-specific patient care to the following patient populations: neonate, infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
High School Graduate
Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
Meets the requirements for registry by the ARRT.
Experience
Minimum of three years’ experience in MRI preferred
Minimum of five years’ experience as a registered radiologic technologist preferred
Licensure/Certification
Must hold current ARRT(R)(MR) registry.
Maintains and documents continuing education requirements as required by the ARRT
Must be currently BCLS certified or obtain certification within three months
