Acute Care Surgery Fellowship Director 

Atrium Health Navicent Medical Group (AHNMG) is seeking an Acute Care Surgery Fellowship Director. The ideal candidate would join a well-established Acute Care Surgery team and serve as the Acute Care Surgery Fellowship Director. AHN’s surgical critical care fellowship program is a 2-year program that graduates 2 fellows per year. Atrium Health Navicent The Medical Center, as the second largest hospital in Georgia, is a 637-bed American College of Surgeons verified level one trauma center. The General Surgery Residency Program currently graduates 5 chief residents per year but has recently increased to 6. Atrium Health Navicent is the teaching program for Mercer University School of Medicine. Atrium Health Navicent is part of the Advocate Health family which includes a unique opportunity to be a part of a network of general surgery and acute care surgery clinical programs.

Requirements of Ideal Candidates: 

  • Must be Board Certified General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care Medicine 
  • Faculty experience at associate professor level or assistant professor currently qualified to be promoted to associate professor required. 
  • Proficient in broad based general surgery procedures  
  • Active Georgia License or ability to obtain. 
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
