Family Medicine Physician - Atrium Health Biddle Point - Clinical/Faculty

We are seeking a Full time Family Medicine Physician that will be a .8 clinical and .2 faculty FTE. 

The Carolinas Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program is a well established 12/12/12 residency program in Charlotte, NC dating back to 1969, with a mission to train service-minded Family Medicine leaders and provide care across the lifespan FOR ALL through excellence in education, research and community engagement. The vision is to transform and elevate the health of our communities with training in 3 tracks for residents - Urban Underserved / Biddle Point, Traditional / Elizabeth, and Community Apprenticeship / Union.  

Atrium Health is developing a new medical school affiliated with Wake Forest University School of Medicine with its first class to start in 2024.  The medical school will have an emphasis on educating students that are underrepresented in medicine and caring for those in underserved communities. 

AH Biddle Point is a full scope Family Medicine community clinic that is part of a large integrated physician network with access to system level resources across the care continuum. Ideal candidates will be passionate about caring for underserved, medically complex patients within a practice that embodies diversity of race, culture, ethnicity and language. A patient centered focus is the heart of the practice; collegiality, professionalism and compassion are values of greatest importance.

Position Highlights:

• Join current team of 7 physicians and 9 Residents
• .8 Clinical/ .2 Faculty
• Clinical responsibilities will include patient care at the Biddle point practice. Along with precepting Family Medicine Residents
• Faculty responsibilities will include, being an advisor for Residents and development of curriculum.
• Monday–Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm
• Full scope FM Clinic including OB if candidate desires to participate in OB care services
• Opportunity to do typical outpatient procedures like contraceptive devices, I&D, benign lesion removals, etc.
• Opportunity to lead practice in MAT management
• Availability of Inpatient care, if desired
• Call split between 7 providers, rotated daily and on weekends.  Phone calls only. 
• Access to additional System level care management resources and virtual technology
• Close proximity to our main campus at Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center and Uptown Charlotte
