Overview
This position is Sign-on Bonus eligible. Registered Nurses are eligible for a bonus of $15,000 for full time positions and $7,500 for part time positions. The 8th floor of Levine Children’s Hospital is considered the step-down unit from the PICU/CVICU. They are a 20-bed unit with 4 observation beds. All the cardiac, nephrology, and neurosurgical children are to be admitted to this floor, along with any child that is considered progressive. Progressive care is initiated when patients require more frequent monitoring or increased nursing care needs. Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new graduates.

There are 4 pediatric hospitalist teams, a 20-bed PICU (including Cardiac ICU), an 85-bed NICU, and an inpatient pediatric rehabilitation facility. Levine Children’s also has the region’s first 24/7 emergency room just for kids, staffed by doctors trained in pediatric emergency medicine. Job Summary
The RN Clinical Nurse I provides professional nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility or department policies procedures, and/or protocols under the supervision of the nursing leader. Assists in maintaining a safe work environment and performs all related job responsibilities in a safe manner. Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the population of patients served.
