Overview

Job Summary

Implements the research agenda of the Department of Cancer Pharmacology and Pharmacogenomics at Levine Cancer Institute. Anticipates project needs and implements activities in support of ongoing research studies.



Essential Functions

  • Assists with participant recruitment.
  • Provides information about the study to participants, reviews consent forms and obtains informed consent.
  • Schedules participants for testing sessions.
  • Administers tests to participants.
  • Tracks and contacts participants for scheduled follow-up tests.
  • Enters data and maintains database.
  • Uses the electronic medical record to collect research-related data.
  • Assists with data analysis.
  • Assists with laboratory research as needed.
  • Completes and maintains all the necessary paperwork.
  • Manages research encounters adhering to specific protocols and good clinical practices.
  • Communicates appropriately with patients; portrays study procedures and related risks and benefits utilizing faculty investigator as appropriate.

     

Physical Requirements

 

Works in both clinic and office setting. Extended periods while sitting. Must have ability to work rapidly and steadily for long periods. Must be facile in clinical environment and possess necessary sight, hearing, smell, touch, and manual dexterity for such work. Must have own transportation to visit off campus locations when necessary.



Education, Experience and Certifications

Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree or equivalent education and experience preferred.
