Overview
Job Summary: Assistant to Chief of Hospital Police. Supervises and directs daily operations of the Hospital Police and Controlled Parking Departments in the absence of the Chief. Responsible for protection of life and property in and around the Medical Center of Central Georgia and the enforcement of all hospital rules, regulations, policies, laws and ordinances of the City and State.
1. Education: Minimum education of a High School Diploma or GED is required. Associate degree in Criminal Justice or related field.
2. Experience: Minimum of 12 years of employment in this field as a police officer. You must have a minimum of six years of experience as a
supervisor and must demonstrate the ability to perform appropriately in emergency and/or highly stressful situations. Candidate must display
high levels of written and verbal communication skills and good leadership ability. Experience or any equivalent combination of education,
training and experience which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position will be considered in lieu of educational requirement.
3. Certification/License/Registration: Valid Georgia driver’s license, POST certification number.
