Overview
REMOTE - MUST RESIDE IN THE STATE OF GA
Performs audits of medical records against the itemized bill and also performs special audit requests such as patient requested audits or payer requested audits. Other duties include concurrent and focused audits. Audits all types of bills including inpatient, outpatient, observation, and procedural. Coordinates and reports audit outcome regarding charge errors, percentage of savings or losses for the facility, data processing errors, the performance of the hospital charging system, as well as documentation and justification within the medical record and itemized bill. Identifies billing problems and makes recommendations for process improvement.
Requirements
Must be a graduate of a certified school of nursing with a current RN License or graduate of radiology technology school with a current RT License.
Two years of experience in a clinical environment (i.e. critical care, surgery, med/surg, or ED).
Must have a valid, current Georgia RN license or current RT license.
