Job Summary
Completes financial evaluations and ensures adherence to regulations related to the admission process, insurance coverage including Medicare/Medicaid and participates in the collection of bad debt.
Essential Functions
- Verifies financial status and insurance coverage of residents prior to admission.
- Analyzes financial status and facilitates the Medicaid application process. Serves as department liaison with medicaid workers during application process and ensures FL2 prior approval process is completed prior to admission.
- Coordinates tracking at facilities of on-going financial coverage.
- Ensures appropriate distribution of non-covered letters, discharge letters, notification of transfers within facilities and other correspondence to maintain regulatory compliance and on-going coverage.
Work requires lifting, pushing, walking and standing occasionally. This position requires Drivers License and access to daily transportation.
