Overview
This position is Sign-on Bonus eligible. Certified Nurse Aides are eligible for a bonus of $2,000 for Full Time positions, and $1,000 for Part Time positions. In addition to the sign-on bonus, new teammates at Atrium Health are eligible for robust benefits packages and paid time off.
Shift Detail
This is a 1900-0700 night shift, full-time position. Including weekends and holidays.
LCH 9 is a 24-bed pediatric medical surgical unit. We see ages ranging from newborn to 18 and care for a wide variety of diagnosis including respiratory, GI, surgical and many more. We tend to see a lot of the younger patients ages newborn to 5 years, while other floors see the older population of patients. However, we still care for older children/teenagers at times as well. Our patient nurse ratios are typically 4-1/ 3-1. Our unit prides ourselves on working well together and taking care of one other, while caring for the most precious little ones!
Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital (LCH) has taken us to another level of service, to care for the growing population of children’s in our region. At 247 beds, LCH is the largest children’s hospital between Atlanta and Washington DC. It serves high patient acuity as the flagship children’s hospital within the innovative Atrium Health and offers a full complement of over 125 pediatric subspecialists in over 25 different pediatric specialties. There are 4 pediatric hospitalist teams, a 20-bed PICU (including Cardiac ICU), an 85-bed NICU< and an inpatient pediatric rehabilitation facility. Levine Children’s also has the region’s first 24/7 emergency room just for kids, staffed by doctors trained in pediatric emergency medicine. LCH has repeatedly been ranked among the “Best Children’s Hospitals” in the nation by US News & World Report.
Job Summary
The Nurse Aide/Healthcare Technician assists in providing patient care under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. Assists in maintaining a clean, safe patient environment and performs job responsibilities in a safe manner. Maintains clinical and professional competencies as appropriate to the needs of the patient population served.

Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, bending, stretching, stooping, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must speak and understand English in good understandable terms. Must have manual and finger dexterity. Physical abilities testing required.
