LEAD EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST

Overview

Job Summary: Coordinates and implements physiological testing for Wellness Center/Macon Health Club.  Develops exercise prescriptions, instructs, and supervises individual fitness programs.  Leads a variety or organized fitness activities.  Provides leadership and oversight to all other fitness professionals. 

1. Education:  Minimum education of a High School Diploma or GED is required.  Bachelor’s degree Exercise Physiology or health related discipline. 

2. Experience:  Minimum five years' experience in a fitness related facility including the conducting of assessments preferred.  Extensive experience with exercise equipment required. 

3. Certification/License/Registration:  BCLS/AED and Pool Operator Certification required.  American College of Sports Medicine certification preferred. 

4. Position Titles and Number Supervised:  Fitness Instructors (4) and Contract Personal Trainers (2).
