This position is Sign-on Bonus eligible. Neurodiagnostic Tech are eligible for a bonus of $,5000(Nights) $2500(Days) for Full-Time/Parttime positions, and a relocation bonus of $3000. Performs routine and complex Neurodiagnostic studies, according to ABRET Laboratory standards. Participates in cross-training to achieve competency in specialized Neurodiagnostic procedures. Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the age, developmental stage, and special needs of the patients served.
Work occurs in various patient-care areas including exam rooms, patient rooms, intensive care units, and operating rooms. It requires periods of standing, sitting, walking, lifting, bending, and moving heavy equipment to remote areas of the facility. Technologists must be able to work around other medical equipment and lift a minimum of 10 pounds shoulder high. Technologist must speak English in simple, understandable terms and have an intact sense of sight and hearing. Departments may require metro-wide after-hours call rotation.
Education, Experience and Certifications
High School Diploma or GED required; graduate from an accredited Neurodiagnostic program with 3 years of experience preferred. BLS required. EEG registry or eligibility for EEG registry preferred. Board eligibility for ABRET certification in EEG is required within 2 years of hire, and completion of ongoing departmental requirements for EEG board registry preparation is required within 3 years of hire. Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills. Strong oral and written communication skills with experience in dealing with sensitive issues/situations, and conflict resolution. Ability to meet deadlines. Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCPs) and Guidelines.
