The PICC nurse assesses and evaluates patients with difficult vascular access needs or those who may need long term IV therapy via the use of the appropriate vascular access device(s).  Maintains and adheres to annual education requirements in order to be able to place vascular lines/devices.  Possesses a willingness to troubleshoot the vascular access device as indicated on case-by-case scenario.  Maintains and possesses a high level of communication skills with physicians and other clinical staff.  Maintains and possesses a high level of critical thinking and assessment skills as it relates to vascular access devices and their selection.  Places difficult peripheral IVs with or without the use of Ultrasound Equipment as needed.  

Shift details: This position is for a PICC nurse to work PRN and help with weekend and afternoon PICC call.

What you will need: 

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing 

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing 

• Current valid Georgia nursing license or eNLC nursing license  

• One (1) year procedural and PICC experience preferred
