Overview
Under indirect supervision, performs all duties associated with acquisition, processing, submission for interpretation and archiving of general and specialized ultrasound images. Responsible for the care of the patient while in the ultrasound department. Performs portable US exams based on provider order and/or patient condition.
Required
Education, Training, and Experience
Must be a High School or GED Diploma Graduate. Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology, vascular or cardiovascular ultrasound program, or BS in Ultrasound. Minimum one year experience in a Specialty area of Vascular US, Breast US or Pediatric US.
Other Job Requirements, Licenses, Certifications
Registered Sonographer through ARDMS or ARRT. In addition, registered or registry eligible through ARDMS as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), Registered Breast US technologist or Registered Pediatric US technologist. Within one year of employment.
