What you can expect:  

• Performs appropriate patient assessments resulting in an effective treatment plan.
• Reassesses patients at appropriate intervals of time demonstrating the ability to observe treatment effect and modify the plan of care as indicated.
• Involves the patient and /or family in the assessment process and the formation of the care plan.
• Provides care in accordance with physician’s orders.
• Demonstrates appropriate case management to ensure quality of care and best patient outcome.
• Communicates appropriately to physicians, nurses, case managers, and other members of the health care team to ensure care is collaborative and appropriate.
• Assesses and documents patient outcomes criteria at the initial and discharge evaluations.
• Demonstrates knowledge of therapy modalities / treatments and performs correctly.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and competency in using equipment pertinent to providing therapy services.
• Formulates a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning. Includes the family in teaching as appropriate.
• Assists in training personnel including providing in-services and continuing education opportunities.
• Directs educational activities for staff and provides clinical education for students in therapy as needed.
• Ensures inventory, supplies levels are adequate and maintains minor equipment in working condition.

What you will need: 

• Bachelors, masters, or doctoral degree in therapy related field (PT, OT, ST)
• Minimum two years of therapy experience required; one year of supervision of technical staff preferred
