Meet our Unit: Fast paced, 37 bed medical-surgical unit with a staffing matrix to support a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5, HCTs 1:8-10. Diverse patient population, including general, GYN, ortho, urology, and oral-maxillary post-operative adult and pediatric patients, dialysis, wound care, and many additional medical diagnoses to offer a wide variety of clinical experiences. Average daily census is 35 patients. Great, upbeat culture and friendly environment with ample support from an excellent group of well-experienced team members. Daily support includes, unassigned team leads (charge nurse), unassigned clinical supervisors, unit manager and unit-based educator. Job Summary
The Nurse Aide I assists in providing patient care under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. Assists in maintaining a clean, safe patient environment and performs job responsibilities in a safe manner. Maintains clinical and professional competencies as appropriate to the needs of the patient population served.

Physical Requirements
Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, bending, stretching, stooping, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must speak and understand English in good understandable terms. Must have manual and finger dexterity. Physical abilities testing required.
