Overview
This position is sign on bonus eligible! Experienced RNs are eligible for a bonus of $20,000 for full time night positions, $15,000 for full time day positions and $7,500 for part time positions. LCH 8P Progressive Care Unit: The 8th floor is considered the step-down unit from the PICU/CVICU. They are a 20-bed unit with 4 observation beds. All the cardiac, nephrology, and neurosurgical children are to be admitted to this floor, along with any child that is considered progressive. Progressive care is initiated when patients require more frequent monitoring or increased nursing care needs.
Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new graduates.

At 247 beds, LCH is the largest children’s hospital between Atlanta and Washington DC. There are 4 pediatric hospitalist teams, a 20-bed PICU (including Cardiac ICU), an 85-bed NICU< and an inpatient pediatric rehabilitation facility. Levine Children’s also has the region’s first 24/7 emergency room just for kids, staffed by doctors trained in pediatric emergency medicine. Job Summary
Responsible for the direct provision of patient care and for assisting the manager with daily operations to include but not limited to coordination of patient care/outcomes, allocation of human and fiscal resources, communications, patient throughput, program development and oversight, patient, physician and employee rounding, selection, development, and retention of staff, clinical supervision and performance appraisal, performance improvement activities, service recovery and compliance with regulatory agency requirements. Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the population of patients served.
