This position is Sign-on Bonus eligible. Experienced RNs with a minimum of 1 year of experience are eligible for a bonus of $5,000 for Full Time positions, and $2,500 for Part Time positions. Atrium Health Cleveland in Shelby is a 241-bed hospital serving greater Cleveland County, NC, and the surrounding region. We were the first Level III trauma center in NC, offering advanced emergency care.

The Labor and Delivery Unit at Atrium Health Cleveland has 8 labor rooms, 3 triage rooms, 1 OR suite and 1 PACU bed, while the Mother Baby Unit has 19 rooms for couplet care, antepartum, GYN surgery, pediatrics and 5 Special Care Nursery beds for newborns that need a higher level of care. We serve our patient population alongside a highly skilled team of physicians, midwives, pediatric hospitalists and anesthesiologists. Our exceptional group of teammates “bring it home” for our patients daily. We offer specific education to assist our new graduate nurses and certifications courses to enhance the experience of experienced team members. The ideal candidate for our team is caring, compassionate, flexible, and has strong critical thinking and assessment skills.
Job SummaryThe RN Clinical Nurse I provides professional nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility or department policies procedures, and/or protocols under the supervision of the nursing leader. Assists in maintaining a safe work environment and performs all related job responsibilities in a safe manner. Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the population of patients served.
