Registered Nurse (RN) - Levine Children's Hospital - Pre/Post Op - FT Day

Overview

This position is Sign-on Bonus eligible. The Day Hospital currently has 8 beds.  The hours at this time are from 7:00am -7:00pm.  The unit is to be used for patients that are only expected to be here for several hours, such as patients coming in for transfusions or post-operative patients that only need to be monitored for few hours.  The PACU, which is separated from the Day Hospital, has 15 slots for patients.  The staff ratio is 1:2. Pediatric patients are taken directly to our PACU after surgery to recover before being sent to a unit.

Job Summary

The RN Clinical Nurse I provides professional nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility or department policies procedures, and/or protocols under the supervision of the nursing leader. Assists in maintaining a safe work environment and performs all related job responsibilities in a safe manner. Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the population of patients served.
