Overview

The Patient Advocate is responsible for greeting each person entering the front of the Emergency Care Center, directing visitors and patient traffic to the appropriate area, and serving as a liaison between the Emergency Care Center staff and the patient. The candidate will also assist the ECC staff in other duties to include retrieval of supplies, medical records, and other errands as directed.

The qualified candidate must possess the following:

A. Education

1. High school diploma or GED from an accredited institute required

B. Experience

1. One year of experience preferred

2. Candidate must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, have a commitment to customer service, and be able to work effectively with patients and families.
