The Practice Manager is responsible and accountable for the operations of the business area of the medical practices assigned to him/her, including but not limited to supervision of the practice's business office operations, staff and personnel issues, quality assurance, development and implementation of work plans, training of staff members, preparation of reports, and evaluation of employees and procedures. This individual works closely with the Floyd Primary Care Central billing office to ensure the accuracy of information flowing from practices to CBO. The Practice Manager works closely with Floyd Primary Care Administration to keep them informed of issues and to administer the policies and procedures established.


The qualified candidate will possess the following:

A. Education

1. High school diploma or GED from an accredited institute required
2. Bachelor's degree in business or clinical field preferred OR minimum of five years prior experience in a medical office

B. Experience
1. Minimum of two years supervisory experience in a primary care practice setting with two or more physicians
2. Experience in medical office information systems, electronic billing, and other automated functions
3. Experience in training and implementation of new procedures for medical office staff
4. Prefer experience in a practice with a mid-level provider
5. Experience in a rural health clinic a plus
