Job Summary

Serves as lead evaluator for strategic priorities, programs, and services with a focus on impact, value, and sustainability as part of the Impact Evaluation and Grants Management (IEGM) team for the Division of Community & Social Impact (CSI Division) and across Clinical Service Area and Enterprise collaborations as a centralized function within the Dept. of Community Health. The Senior Analyst is responsible for leading various aspects of evaluation and reporting operations including data management and compliance, statistical analysis, interpretation, and dissemination of results across internal and external stakeholders through narrative reports, presentations, and participation in regular team meetings. Works in collaboration across CSI Division, Enterprise, and other key internal and external stakeholders such as Clinical Service Areas, Information and Analytics Services, Quality Improvement, and Research. 

Essential Functions

  • Develops and executes evaluation strategies and plans, including translation of goals and objectives into meaningful metrics aligned with the CSI Division and Enterprise priorities 
  • Designs and executes statistical analysis, data collection, and governance plans, including delegation to project and IEGM teammates 
  • Develops, submits, and maintains appropriate data governance and institutional review board compliance documents in collaboration with administrative coordinator(s), including data sharing agreements  
  • Ensures communication, translation, and alignment of evaluation and reporting deliverables with internal and external stakeholder audiences including CSI Division and Enterprise leaders, funders, and Clinical Service Area leaders 
  • Participates in regular program and operational team meetings to support data-informed decision making, provide technical assistance, and serve as active member of the project/program or grant team
  • Disseminates evidence through academic and non-academic channels including academic journals and presenting papers at scientific meetings and forums to promote Atrium Health as a national leader
  • Serves as an expert reviewer and mentor for IEGM team, student learners, and other system teammates by reviewing & critiquing work and supporting professional development  
  • Provides support for IEGM team growth, scale, and continuous process improvement

Physical Requirements

Will work in office environment for preparing reports and documents or projects determined by leader.

Education, Experience, and Certifications

Master's degree required in public health, health services research, health care administration, public administration or policy and/or government studies. PhD preferred. Minimum three years of experience in population health research, community-based public health research and/or program evaluation. Experience in leading evaluation projects and/or research studies required. Experience with working on cross-functional teams and leading the evaluation and management of healthcare data preferred. Demonstrated strong skills required in the following: quantitative data analysis with direct knowledge of analytic tools such as R, SAS, or SPSS, compliance and institutional review board documentation, problem solving in a complex systems environment, strategic communications, strategic planning, written and oral communication, multi-disciplinary collaboration, and ability to work effectively and drive consensus amid diverse stakeholders.
