Overview
Levine Children’s Specialty Center is an outpatient pediatric practice that cares for patients from the ages of 0-21. We have 8 different pediatric specialties in our practice including genetics, rheumatology, surgery, infectious disease, nephrology, physical medicine and rehab, pulmonology, and GI. Our clinical team includes nurses, medical assistants, radiology techs, doctors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dietitians, social workers, respiratory therapists, and phlebotomists. This Clinical Lead position would be Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm.
Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital (LCH) has taken us to another level of service, to care for the growing population of children’s in our region. At 247 beds, LCH is the largest children’s hospital between Atlanta and Washington DC. It serves high patient acuity as the flagship children’s hospital within the innovative Atrium Health and offers a full complement of over 125 pediatric subspecialists in over 25 different pediatric specialties. There are 4 pediatric hospitalist teams, a 20-bed PICU (including Cardiac ICU), an 85-bed NICU< and an inpatient pediatric rehabilitation facility. Levine Children’s also has the region’s first 24/7 emergency room just for kids, staffed by doctors trained in pediatric emergency medicine. Job Summary
Provides professional nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the ambulatory, outpatient and Medical group practice settings in accordance with policies and procedure under the supervision of the supervisor or manager. Performs all duties of a Clinical Nurse Ambulatory when providing direct patient care. Supports the manager by serving in the capacity of a clinical lead for licensed and unlicensed clinical teammates.
Essential Functions
Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must speak and understand English in good understandable terms. Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch. Finger dexterity. Critical thinking and ability to concentrate. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and / or unit/department conditions. Physical Abilities testing required. Additional department specific physical requirements may be identified for unique responsibilities within the department by the department manager.
