Overview
The Service Desk Manager directs all functions of the IT Service Desk related to incident management, service requests, problem management and tracking/reporting. This individual implements applications and tools necessary for efficient service desk support and customer satisfaction. The Service Desk Manager is responsible for the supervision and technical guidance of all service desk technicians, development of staff training and skills maintenance plans, and promoting communication among all service desk team members. He/she oversees the creation and implementation of departmental policies and procedures and ensures the maintenance of accurate documentation and inventory.
Qualifications:
A. Education
1. High school diploma or GED from an accredited institute required
2. Associate's degree or equivalent experience required
B. Experience
1. Three or more years of relevant IT and/or service desk work experience required
2. Three years of healthcare IT experience preferred
