Medical Technologist (MT, MLS, CLT, CLS)

AHN is an ACS verified Level I trauma center in Central Georgia offering adult, pediatric, and neonate services.  Our Laboratory provides sophisticated in-patient and out-patient services.          Our transfusion service is accredited by AABB, CAP, and FDA registered for both Blood Bank and Tissue Banking.  The Blood Bank utilizes a combination of gel technology (Ortho Vision Max) and solid phase technology (Immucor Echo) for automated immunohematology testing and offers reference services to local area hospitals with expedited TAT.  Our Blood Bank LIS is Sunquest and our HIS is EPIC.
 

What you will do:
Performs a variety of laboratory examinations and tests including specialized or experimental procedures assuring rapid and accurate results. 
Supervises lesser qualified employees of the section. 

What is required:
Bachelors degree in Medical Lab Science
Registration as a Medical Technologist by the Board of Registry as ASCP, AMT,  NCA or HHS or registry eligible - All newly hired technical staff must pass an approved certification exam within five (5) months of placement in this occupational classification.
