Overview
This position is Sign-on Bonus eligible. Experienced RNs with a minimum of 1 year of experience are eligible for a bonus of $15,000.. In addition to the sign-on bonus, new teammates at Atrium Health are eligible for robust benefits packages and paid time off.
Carolinas Medical Center 4 Tower is a 30 bed adult hematology unit that cares for a variety of hematologic malignancies in conjunction with the Levine Cancer Institute. Our patient receive inpatient chemotherapy and supportive care during the oncology journey. There is an opportunity to cross train to critical care on 4 Tower. Our unit is equipped with 4 high acuity beds that function at an ICU level of care including ventilators. All RN teammates receive their ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification during orientation. 4 Tower prides itself on building relationships with our patients and the patient satisfaction scores reflect this focus. Our unit utilizes self-scheduling for staffing, offers opportunity for cross training and free-take for oncology certification exams.

Job Summary
Assesses, plans, coordinates, and evaluates the clinical and operational functions of a nursing unit to ensure quality, cost effective health care is provided by an educated and competent team. Promotes a safe environment and performs all related job responsibilities in a safe manner. Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the age, developmental stages, and special needs of the patients served.
Essential Functions
Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must speak and understand English fluently. Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch. Finger dexterity. Critical thinking and ability to concentrate. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and / or unit/department conditions.
