This position is Sign-on Bonus eligible. Experienced RNs with a minimum of 1 year of experience are eligible for a bonus of $20,000 for this Full Time Night position. 4 Tower is a 30 bed adult hematology unit that cares for a variety of hematologic malignancies in conjunction with the Levine Cancer Institute. Our patient receive inpatient chemotherapy and supportive care during the oncology journey. There is an opportunity to cross train to critical care on 4 Tower. Our unit is equipped with 4 high acuity beds that function at an ICU level of care including ventilators. All RN teammates receive their ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification during orientation. 4 Tower prides itself on building relationships with our patients and the patient satisfaction scores reflect this focus. Our unit utilizes self-scheduling for staffing, offers opportunity for cross training and free-take for oncology certification exams.
CMC serves as the region’s only Level 1 trauma center and is an approved transplant center for heart, kidney, pancreas and liver. Job SummaryResponsible for the direct provision of patient care and for assisting the manager with daily operations to include but not limited to coordination of patient care/outcomes, allocation of human and fiscal resources, communications, patient throughput, program development and oversight, patient, physician and employee rounding, selection, development, and retention of staff, clinical supervision and performance appraisal, performance improvement activities, service recovery and compliance with regulatory agency requirements. Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the population of patients served.
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Current RN licensure in appropriate state. Minimum two years nursing experience preferred. Previous management experience preferred. BSN required. RN candidates for external hire or internal promotion without BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program within 1 year of Hire/Transfer date and must complete program within 3 years of enrollment in the program. Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider status according to the American Heart Association. Appropriate professional certification (either clinical or leadership) is required within 1 year of eligibility for professional certification exam. Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required within the department by the nurse leader.
