Nurse Extern Opportunity - The Rehabilitation Hospital, Atrium Health Navicent
Jumpstart your nursing career with an externship at Atrium Health Navicent. Enhance your clinical knowledge and your patient care skills in a hands-on training role! Under the direction of the RN, must demonstrate competency in basic and complex direct patient care and throughput processes. Performs only those designated patient care activities that he/she is competent to perform based on education, training and policy. Must demonstrate effective communication, interpersonal, teamwork, organization and prioritization skills. Is responsible for designated equipment and supplies used in the care of assigned patients. Must be flexible in changing assignments, workload and learning new skills. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit.

What you will need:
Must be a High School or GED Diploma Graduate.
Must have completed basic fundamentals of nursing course in an accredited School of Nursing and be in good standing within the nursing program (sophomore in A.D., Junior in B.S.N program).
Must maintain GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
Must successfully complete the NE and Clinical Tech orientation programs. Must have R.N. precepted orientation for specific nursing skills and procedures and be approved to perform these independently prior to autonomous activity.
