Job SummaryCoordinates and delegates departmental functions so that all respiratory employees are educated and compliant with ace modules, licensure and yearly competencies. Keeps abreast of all changes relevant to Cerner and will serve on the SNAAP committee and provide input as applicable. Acts as key person in new employee departmental education and works with the director in the health literacy collaborative by researching the relationship of functional health literacy to patients' knowledge of their chronic disease.
Licensed as a Respiratory Care Provider by the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board required. Registered as a RRT through the National Board for Respiratory Care required. Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy and 2 years of critical care experience in an acute care facility or a RRT equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of critical care experience in an acute care facility is required. Bachelor's preferred. Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider from AHA is required. Advanced certification per facility.
